About the song [ ]
Aurora uses nature imagery throughout the song, such equally the cry of a winter bird, to show how she needs the harshness of the natural world effectually her to drag her away from a dream world back to reality.
She explained to The 405:
"Sometimes you need to be reminded of how it was to experience live. It'south a catchy situation to find yourself in. When yous've forgotten about your reasons to live."[ii]
Lyrics [ ]
Walking in my sleep
Like the naked trees
Volition they wake upward again?
Do they sleep, do they dream?
Feel it every bit the wind
Strokes my skin
I am moved by the chill
Hear the winter bird sing
My tears are always frozen
I can see the air I breathe
Got my fingers painting pictures
On the drinking glass in front of me
Lay me by the frozen river
Where the boats take passed me past
All I need is to recollect
How it was to feel alive
Silent days, fierce shades
We are dancing again
In a dream by the lake
My tears are always frozen
I tin run across the air I breathe
Got my fingers painting pictures
On the glass in front end of me
Lay me by the frozen river
Where the boats have passed me past
All I demand is to recollect
How it was to feel alive
Pressed against my pillow like the ageing winter sun
Simply wake each morning to remember that y'all're gone
So I drift abroad again to winter I belong
My tears are e'er frozen
I can see the air I breathe
Got my fingers painting pictures
On the drinking glass in front of me
Lay me by the frozen river
Where the boats have passed me by
All I need is to recollect
How information technology was to feel alive
My tears are always frozen
My tears are e'er frozen
My tears are always frozen
All I demand is to retrieve
How it was to feel live
I need to remember
How information technology was to feel alive
Lyrics transcribed past listening.
